Alan has spent the past eight years in both the educational and professional areas of web design and development. After tenure as the director of the web and graphic design curriculums at Birmingham-based Virginia College, he moved into the professional world and has worked for design firms and as a freelance designer/developer/consultant. While working with us here at Dirextion full time, he continues to teach multimedia courses on an adjunct basis.
Alan has a passion for creating attractive, well-structured websites using XHTML and CSS, as well as developing Content Management Systems using PHP and MySQL. When he's not doing that, Alan is usually relaxing at home with his wife, who is just as geeky as he is, or playing video games with his kids.
